Union Investment actively helps users to engage with sustainability
Knowledge is also central to tenant management at Union Investment. Although buildings constructed and specified for energy efficiency are a crucial starting point, sustainability needs to become a way of life.
We regard raising awareness among our tenants for sustainable behaviour in their everyday work as an important task. We provide information and encouragement while also promoting dialogue. Sustainability is a core aspect of our product philosophy, thus making responsible use of our properties a logical corollary. The objective is to establish sustainable office buildings around the globe that truly live up to their name.
Individual aspects here include waste management: by separating waste it is possible to cut disposal costs considerably. Lighting is another example – simply by switching off lights when they leave a room, employees can have the same positive impact on the environment and costs as a presence detector.
Attention to detail is the key to sustainable buildings. As a landlord, we are therefore committed to giving advice whenever and wherever needed. Positive feedback from our tenants confirms the rightness of this approach.
